Hopefully it’s just the button shorting out. Maybe you guys did some damage when you shorted out the harness when you bolted that ground wire to your positive terminal. Fingers crossed it’s just the button.

It could just be the button shorting out, but you just put in those new shocks so I would check to make sure that something isn't pinched or shorting there, and then replace the button if the harness looks good. Apparently you're supposed to switch the modes regularly or something like that.
