The video doesn't say what shower you should take. I read in one book that a warm/hot shower helps to lower you body temperature. Yeah, sounds like a paradox, but it still works this way. It's not cold shower. Cold shower will help you to wake up in the morning.
Besides that, when you are cold, you can't fall asleep either, so don't lower you body temperature too much, sometimes the opposite is better and you should get warm, put something warm on or cover yourself with a thick blanket.

Fastest method. Cool the room, place a heating pad at the foot of your bed. Make sure it's already heated before you get into bed.
Now just jump in bed, place your feet on the warm - hot pad and boom. 5 minutes & you're sleeping.
We normally don't fall asleep until our feet warm up when you lie down in bed so if you can speed up that process you fall asleep much faster.
