A man forgot to change his clock for daylight savings time. This is what happened to his genitals.

Time was ticking! JC was admitted to the ER. He had just swallowed his wrist watch!

If we change our clocks so that it is permanently noon, daylight will never end.

I would like it if my sundials in my yard would be accurate for once.

The historical excuse for the clock changes where I live was for more daylight for the farmers. But my question always was the farmers are self employed, they can start or quit whenever they want. There is only so much daylight in the day. Now all equipment has lights. It's an antiquated idea.

I work somewhere management thinks its acceptable to change your shift by eight hours every week, can't tell if they are sociopathic, incompetent, or maybe both.

Honestly the best thing we could do for public health is just give up and accept that we have shorter days in the winter. Work and school should start later and end earlier.

We also gave up on the metric system in the 70's. Maybe that decade just wasn't our best. I think we should try again.

Circadian Rhythm is the powerhouse of the schedule.

Regarding that "third shift workers" thing: Imagine being like that your entire life. That's what 5-15% of all humans experience because they're naturally nocturnal (called "extreme night owls"). This was probably an evolutionary adaptation to allow someone to keep watch at night, but our society has decided that waking up in the afternoon and staying up all night is a moral failing of some kind and forces these people to fight their circadian rhythm from age 5 onward even if the parents allow it before that. Unsurprisingly, these people suffer from things like depression and Summer seasonal affective disorder (SAD) as well as sleep disorders and various stress-based maladies. Another 25-40% of people are not fully nocturnal but are "night owls" and naturally want to stay up past midnight. They have similar issues, but not as bad. The worst part is that finding these night owls and letting them work their natural schedule would alleviate so many of society's problems. Rush-hour traffic would vanish, along with roughly 40% of automotive pollution. Roads would need fewer expansions. Businesses could rent less office space, reducing urban sprawl and crowding as well as construction costs. Productivity would skyrocket. Emergency rooms would be less crowded in the evening if normal doctors' offices and urgent care clinics stayed open later. And of course depression and healthcare costs for those 30-55% of people would drop precipitously. But syncing our schedules to a system based on farming is better for some reason, I'm sure.

As I get older, DST just wrecks me worse and worse. It can take me over a week to start feeling OK. In the winter, it usually means the start of a couple weeks of seasonal depression.

I would prefer permanent DST!!! I love having more light in the afternoon and evening!!! So depressing during the winter- seems like I never get to spend anytime in the sun! The hours of daylight are pretty much spent indoors working-it’s awful!

afaik, there are ongoing efforts to make daylight savings permanent. I think DC was the last place to do it. I live in AZ and we don't change the clocks here. People much prefer not changing the clocks these days.

I prefer dst, there's more sunlight during the day. When we have to switch back to standard it's helI, it gets dark earlier, who wants that? Standard time just contributes to seasonal depression even more imo

I hate how they change the time. It's a testament to the lunacy and foolishness of our society.

I'll pass on standard time. It's dark every single time I go to work, summer or winter. The difference is if it's dark when I leave work or not. I would like to experience some daylight when I get home from work, not lose what little I get when it's daylight savings time.

I wish the world would just stick to daylight saving time, I'm a night owl, so mornings are a shit show for me whether they're slighter or slightly darker!
