Tendon Pain Won't Go Away? Here's WHY

“Why won’t my tendon pain go away?”

These are two big issues I see:

1️⃣ Not enough time CONSISTENTLY loading

Maybe you’ve done a few weeks here or there…… or loaded it off and on for a while.

Or “tried a bunch of exercises”……

Chances are you haven’t delivered enough load to the tendon CONSISTENTLY for long enough to create lasting change.

2️⃣ Not enough load

30 second isometrics and sets of 10-15 reps can be a great starting point.

But to really see lasting changes to tendon properties we need to get greater than 70% of our maximum contraction strength.

This means using loads that are heavy enough that you can only complete around 5-8 reps.

Or HEAVY isometrics near maximal for 5-8 seconds.

There’s a good chance you just didn’t progress up to high enough loads to create a lasting change in tendon properties.

🔑 Don’t give up. Be consistent and challenge yourself to progress load.
