this hat at least actually kinda makes sense. a pot is made out of a hard metal which can help protect your head.
while the other object on head hats dont make sense in any context.

This cosmetic is similar to the Spy beard with the camera. It's a relic of that time period. Kids would often play as soldiers with a pot in their heads, and this kinda became more popular when you could see it on cartoons and comics, it's very fitting for the time period and a simple yet classy hat for our crazed soldier.
