Jordan… when we say “you’re almost there”, we’re not trolling. And we’re not being sarcastic. It’s a genuine compliment from a believer to a non(literal)believer. My mission now is to find you at a speaking event, pay whatever is necessary to meet you, and say this to your face. I’m a huge fan, as is most of my church.

Belief isn't fundamentally predicated on intellect. Intellect can either be a hurdle or an aid to belief. It's a submission of surrender to God, which necessarily means and implies that you surrender your own claim to godhood. This is far removed from modern man who is being sold constantly that all his needs can be met materially.

Huh, I don't know if I'm a good enough Christian to count as a "fundamentalist"... I was adamantly against using Christ's name in vain as some kind of dogwhistle, like Candace and Kanye were doing, so I'm not one of them...
I definitely thought Jordan Peterson was "On the path to salvation" and might have even used the terminology "almost there," prior to learning that he considers it "trolling" comparative to the Atheist/Leftist trolls. I know how disturbing that kind can be... Perhaps drawing that comparison was meant to make my stomach sick... Hmm... Intentionally comparing someone to their opposite, and then saying "Well what have YOU done..?" I literally got a flashback of arguing/being gaslit by my narcissistic abusive Atheist ex husband, just from watching a YouTube short. 😅
Don't worry, I definitely won't ever say "You're almost there" again, if I ever have, lol. And I'm reconsidering watching one or two of his documentaries on the Daily Wire. I was gonna watch them with my dad, who is a minister... But I don't want to hear about Christianity from someone who doesn't seem to like Christians, lol...
Like, if we can't say "You're almost there!" as encouragement, are we even allowed to say "Bless you" if he sneezes? Does he think praying for someone to go to Heaven is also insulting? Just curious how far the edgy-ness goes, here. 😅
He has magically turned my vague disinterested into a studied aversion... Because how can someone study Christianity and then misunderstand it so badly..? Does he want us to
1. Say he's "almost there" (because we're happy he's gonna go to Heaven, right?) ❌️
2. Say the opposite - "Oh no, it looks like he's not gonna make it😔"..? ❌️
3. Change our beliefs to suit his preferences ❓️
4. Stay silent about our beliefs and neither encourage nor discourage. - Just mind our own business, and only listen to him, and only he can speak on his beliefs, because he's always right... Right? ❓️
I don't see a logical path for someone trying to please an unappeasable person...
I've had one particular ex-type-person (not the aforementioned one who caused PTSD) who followed JP religiously. He was a self-typed INFJ, and quite proud of being "the rarest personality type" (I always test as ENFP, fwiw) ...
That guy was always putting me through the gauntlet, and constantly made me feel inferior when I couldn't abide by his nitpicky standards. (Like, you had to have a perfect handle on your emotions and whole life, which I never would) - I always thought that guy was just self-absorbed; and I never let it reflect negatively on JP, because I figured that guy just misunderstood JP's lessons. Now I'm wondering if it was just a prideful guy idolizing another prideful guy, and maybe that master manipulator learned the lessons perfectly. Either way... I don't hate JP, I think he's often correct, and obviously deserves many compliments and accolades - BUT... I do wish he hadn't let the ego go to his head.
(P.S. If the person commenting under everone about "weaponized caring" finds me and actually reads all my catharsis here: I've already seen your comment under several other comments, and you and I simply have different definitions of what the word "care" means. So, please spare me the copy+paste

Putting those who see that he is not truly believing the Bible and doesn't believe in the Lord Jesus and desire to see him come to true faith on par with atheistic trolls just shows that he is under conviction for being a teacher if the Bible while not believing anything of it. Both his interview with John Rich and Richard Dawkins show this.

Love ya Jordan... but, you don't seem to even consider why those "fundamentalists" would think that you are "almost there"? Where? They might be hopeful that you actually learn to find hope in God's trustworthy promises. It seems at times (very regular times) like you haven't actually had a two way conversation between you... using the resources you trust so much in (your flesh... biblically speaking), and Jesus who still wants to perfect you. (It hasn't happened yet)... 😂 I do love your intelligence and intellect. I just don't trust it when it (often) clashes with the scriptures.
Proverbs 3:5
What has Jesus done in your life lately? Not made you very gracious... Grace and Truth come through Jesus Christ

I'm a Christian and I listen to both of you. I don't always agree with everything y'all say, but I think you're amazing men, great thinkers and highly entertaining. I pray that God blesses you abundantly!
