In Indonesian 🇮🇩 for certain types of cakes we use “bolu” (from Portuguese 🇵🇹 “bolo”) and for certain other types we use “tar” (from Dutch 🇳🇱 “taart”).

In the philippines it' called "biyahe" same with the spanish but different spelling. It's not travel. Wrong info. I know that we(philippines) use english. But you should use the filipino word not the english one unless there is no direct translation

Funny, because in Indonesia we say "Bolu" for Cake. Maybe we still have Portuguese influences from a very long time ago

In indonesian we can say "bolu" derived from portuguese and "tart" for birthday cake derived from dutch, both added with a word "kue" means cake, so it can be kue bolu (usually steamed cake) and kue tart (usually spongecake with whipped cream for birthday)

In Latvia cake is either kūka (without cream) and Torte (with cream). And travel is Ceļot. (O is pronounced like uo in this case. But letter o in Latvian has 3 pronunciations o, ō and uo.) Also Latvian language has 2 sounds for both e and ē letters. So basically pronounce one of them wrong and it can change the whole meaning of sentence or word.
