My brother-in-law is a police officer. He says there's actually a lot of guys on the sex offender registry that he feels shouldn't be there. Like peeing in woods when there's no bathroom in sight and someone just happens to come across them. Or an 18 year old dating a 17 year old but the parents don't like him. Some falsely accused/set up because a girl lied. It's mind-blowing

I would be much more worried about predators if the law was actually fair. I had a predator working at my business and his only crime was pissing in an alley. Technically, there was no crime and no victim but the police had nothing better to do than to destroy another person's life.

My mother knows a guy that had to register as a sex offender because he got caught on camera pissing behind a Walmart. Not all sex offenders are child molesters, rapists, peeping Toms.

SO many minor infractions, like peeing on the side of the road bc you couldn’t make it to a gas station, can get you the “convicted sex offender” title. Not all of these people are monsters. Please approach every situation with nuance, and basic human empathy.
