I started just not having sex with men as much. Things are getting too crazy in the world to be having kids with guys on accident.

I do x ray and I would never get an IUD. I will find them upside down, poking into the uterus , I’ve seen them escape the uterus and end up in other organs. One lady had to have a serious surgery because hers was in her stomach .. screw that I would never get one

I had an IUD for 5 years after my second kid. Never again! Don’t google pregnancy with an IUD. I was always paranoid about pregnancy because you don’t get a period. Bad combo for my mental health!

Wtf wouldn’t they tell us that at the OB?? That just seemed like a standard question “ and what do you use for your monthly menstration” BEFORE THE EVEN PUT IT IN! 😂

It's good that you didn't tell the men you were having sex with that you had an IUD. My mom told me not to tell guys I was on birth control because then they won't want to where a condom. I told my step daughter the same thing.

Totally true! I have my tubes tied. I did it at 39 after the divorce six years ago. My daughter is grown. I’m not starting over. Some guys still wear condoms and some want to get out of it. Remember the latest ex I mentioned? Yeah, he was a douche about it. I didn’t trust him after that. Got full panel STI testing months later at my yearly checkup and thankfully was clear. I don’t think I’m going to tell any other guys that my tubes are tied. Like, I won’t lie if he asks if I’m sterilized, but I will answer exactly the question that’s asked and no more. “No, I am not taking birth control.” That’s it! 💯

Also if youre IUD has shifted at all, even still within the uterus, it can become ineffective. My doctor said I was very lucky, then I got my tubes tied at 26 after my body pushed 2 Paraguards out. Im grateful everyday. Doctors veiws on sterilization are changing since Roe v Wade was overturned.

Hello, I would like to recommend using a menstrual disc for those worried about a cup interferring with an IUD. They make both disposable and reusable ones. These sit up higher on top of the pelvic bone and do not use suction. For old school people who have ever used a diaphragm for birth control, a menstrual disc sits in a similar place but deals with your monthly flow instead. In my experience, discs also leak less. Hope this helps!

So many women told me DO NOT GET MARRIED it isn't a good idea 😅😅

I had the opposite problem. I wanted mine out so bad because it was making my cramps worse. The doctor refused to remove it and I ended up taking out out myself lol.

Yes!! It's better to wear a menstrual disc instead! I find them more comfortable anyways

Jesus Christ, thank you!! And thank you so much for mentioning that other bit, I was questioning myself about not wanting to even mention that I am on birth control because they are such pussies about using a condom. Thanks for validating my feelings!!!

Paragard Diva here! I did know this, so never used a cup...please let people know, too, that the Paragard can be used continually well past it's recommended date. I've had mine in for 14 years, no issues!

Oh that's terrifying as hell... especially considering how painful putting an IUD in is to start with.
