How long did the schroder last you? Looks like you even purchased the upgraded one. I was interested in buying 1 of these, and it says german made on google. Where did you see it was made in China?

That engine is a China made zenoah engine . Husqvarna has a manufacturing facility in China and make engines for many blowers. The redmax made nowadays are not much better lots of problems compared to the eb7001, eb4400, eb31 before husqvarna bought them. Not a fan of the strato stuff. But you can get aftermarket piston cylinder kits for them as the engine is same as ebz8500, ebz8550, ebz8560. Bought a few of these China units and compared them to a ebz8500 I have.
