The horrible ingredients in the foods we are choosing to feed our children are a big discussion right now.

๐Ÿ“ฃPARENTS! I am talking to you!

I get it. I reacted terribly to food dyes as a child and so did my daughter. We chose to keep them OUT of the house and OUT of our mouths decades ago. ย My goal is to educate and REASSURE you that there are healthier options and that it is OUR DUTY as parents to teach our kids that these sugars, food dyes, and chemicals are NOT GOOD for us!

Childhood illness rates have skyrocketed and itโ€™s not just Big Foodโ€™s fault. We have to take some responsibility for allowing it in the house in the first place. Letโ€™s all work better to gain knowledge because when we know better, we DO better.ย ย ย

Our youngest son seemed to have a high sensitivity to food dyes in particular. We decided to cut out all dyes, crazy preservatives, GMOs, basically anything that seemed over processed. Without digging deep into what causes what or what's good and bad. We just started making all of our meals homemade. Now he won't touch a pop tart, pizza roll, frozen pre made meal or any of the hyped up processed food kids his age eat. I love it!! Drs are always shocked when they give him the "eat healthy" speech and we tell them he's never even had a pop tart or hot pocket.
