This show is so brilliantly written, so eloquently acted, tears me up and yet I can't stop watching, because there are real heroes out there, trying to save lives in the most horrific of environments....RESPECT

You're a hero in my book. Because of you monsters were stopped from doing more damage. I worked with victims, and their stories still haunt me. Knowing even one perpetrator was stopped is worth eveverything. My prayers for your peace.

It is vast difference to see this in a movie or tv show as opposed to real life. Thank you to all first responders that risk their lives and their mental health to help others. I understand there are people (in all lines of work) that are incompetent, but I believe most are doing the job for the right reason.

Thank you for your service sir. My granddaughter is a policeman in NYC I worry about her you just never know. I know she’d like to be in forensics but I know that’ll take time. God bless you for taking care of our little ones!🙏

I loved 28 out of 31 years of my career. I spent three years in detectives working Crimes Against Children. I know this is a stupid clip from a stupid TV show. I know the crap I see in movies is fake and is just going after drama, shock effect etc. but almost every time I see this my wife has to put her hand on my arm to remind me that it's only a movie, etc. When you deal directly with the evil that's done to our most innocent victims of our society you hate the world a little more and more, bit by bit to the point that everyone not involved in police work is a criminal and even then some are. You'd be amazed thou just how many firefighters and correctional officers I had to arrest during this stint. I hated them more than just any criminal because they hid behind the badge and/or their jobs. I nearly begged NOT to be assigned to that outfit but I was told that because of my hatred toward these types of crimes that the chief knew I would be successful at it. I left that dreaded unit in 97 and I still see their faces and still talk about some of the cases when asked. Sorry for the long, boring reply but to be honest I wrote it for a selfish reasons, it's actually for my benefit. However, if you're still reading this I thank you.

“Negative or positive words does create your reality” that is so true Sara. I talked about making a YouTube channel and I made it happen. Simply because I wanted to there’s more than that as you’ll see. It wasn’t just cause I wanted to there are reasons behind it. I actually enjoyed watching this video. I love the fact that you don’t edit everything out and you’re just genuine. You’re not one of the other fake YouTuber and I love that! Keep up the good work and keep your head up and good things will come to those who work for it! Paying your dues comes around! ❤ i’m gonna watch more of your videos but keep up the good work seriously! Don’t ever go fake I love this absolutely! 💯

There is a person, who works on this show, who was a cop/detective in Chocago police department for 30 years, works as a producer and technical edvisor on this show, most of the stories you see here are real (maybe more dramatic, becauae it's still a show, but the main stories are real. Real cops often show up on the set, when they aren't working, so most of the time, the cops you see are real chicagoean cops). It's neccessary, because Chicago is very different from other cities in terms of crime.
