I'm just speaking for myself here, but I don't really want a new Rush album, or more Rush tours, without the lyricist and drummer who contributed so very much to the writing of their songs, and the recording of their albums, and to their concert performances, from 1975 until their very last tour. I'm hearing some Rush fans saying that the band could, and should, continue on without Neil, partially because he was not the drummer on their first album in '74. However, that was the only album they ever recorded, as Rush, where he was not the drummer, and he contributed so much to their sound, and their lyrics, that it's just very hard for me to imagine a future incarnation of Rush without him. I don't think it should happen, as Rush. To be clear though, I would love to have Geddy and Alex recording and touring again, but I would not want it to be under the name of Rush. Without Neil, it would be a fundamentally different band. There should be a new band name, in my view, and they could play some of the Rush classics, and new material, hopefully, as recorded under the new band name. I would love to hear it and see it! Just don't call it Rush, Geddy and Alex! I know neither one of you is likely reading this comment, but this is just my personal, and strongly-held, opinion, as a Rush fan! :-)

They should hook up with Wakeman and Jon Anderson, and call the band YESH.
