For the love of God, this band has been around for over 50 years (debut album in '74 but playing before that) and still, even though Neil joined in 1974, so so many people, given Neil's stature in the drumming and musical world still can't pronounce his surname correctly !!
It beggars belief.
It's pronounced "pee-ert" - "pea - urt" - it has two syllables, whichever phonetic floats your boat.
What it isn't is "pert" or "purt" or whatever monosyllabic phonetics you want to put on it.
If I had a Cartman emoji saying "Goddamit" I would use it here.

The three together "is" no more but there is still a MAJOR DESIRE percolating inside each and every RUSH fan to see and hear Alex and Geddy back up there just playing those songs . I truly believe Neil would want them to continue giving RUSH fans there fix. Some interviews i've seen recently of Geddy , i get the strong feeling he cant wait to get up there and jam with his bud. I hope they do ay. 🇺🇸 💖🙏✌💖

Let it go. Leave the Rush legacy intact and move on to another project. No reason Lee and Lifeson can't go on together and create music, just do it under a different name and banner. They don't need the Rush name for recognition, they are famous enough already. Do something a little slower and more befitting men of their age. And for god sakes, something in a key Lee can actually sing. One of my favorite singers of all time, but the fake it thing doesn't work anymore. Do a Rush favorite or two at each concert in tribute to Neil, and let the rest go.

In all honesty, no other drummer would play the notes the way Neil did. Omar and Danny are brilliant but they added their own flavour to the rush songs and in my opinion they were just ok. Rush songs need to be played as close to possible to the original songs.
What Alex and Geddy need is a little younger pro drummer who can repeatedly play their songs note for note.
That would be the best tribute to the Brilliant Genius of Rush. Who knows, they might even put out some new music.
Regardless of what everyone says Neil was truly unique and a genius with drumming and lyrics and in my opinion the most musical drummer who ever picked up the sticks. I truly miss him.

Nobody can replace Peart but I don’t think they should roll over and die. They enjoy touring and should continue to do so, and I hope they will.
