We crate trained our Am Staff x Am Bully from the first day. While she would love to join us wherever we go, she happily goes into her crate. We always give her something to chew before we leave and bring her a treat home.

I really need to know more about how to calm our 2 dogs in their crates, if one starts to bark the other does and they will bark for over an hour, our youngest has the separation anxiety. Please how do I teach them not to do this?

Never had the problem. My hunting dog was trained from the first month to be alone sometimes, starting with very short preiods of 5min up to 10hrs. He has a command that indicates to him a "job": to stay where he is and wait quietly. So he regards it as work and thus is fine with that. I take him on business trips all the time when he has to wait 8n the hotel room sometimes for 6-8hrs. He manages perf3ctly and is super quiet. Because in the end it is exactly the same as if I tell him to lie down in the forest and wait until I call him. And even less distractions. The problem is more that people leave dogs without a "task" and then they are restless. Or treat them like children. And this although on normal days he is 90% of the time right next to me and gets exercise 4x a day. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ«£ As long as we do not treat dogs as humans but as dogs, they are happy.
