Beautiful little song! While it's 'unfinished', it's kind of paradoxically finished in how it perfectly conveys it's message!
We all have our moments of feeling lost and blank, where we feel a bit dull but somehow have no emotion; where we reach to do something but then as you so elegantly say it 'the inspiration drains away like water in your hands'.
The thing is we all eventually get through those feelings no matter if it takes an hour, a day, a week, and in some cases years! We all have our ups and downs and that's what helps define us, it teaches us and at the same time helps us to really appreciate the good moments in life through having something to compare against :)
And often these moments aren't necessarily 'bad' but just different and sometimes kinda empty feeling, and sometimes we just need those days to let our mind process many built up thoughts!
I'm sure you already know much of that and/or look at it your own way but hopefully that helps someone in some way :D

I'm about your age, and this song really resonates with me
It's like I've got so much to express, but when it's time to speak I have nothing original to say. I'm just getting old enough that people listen to what I say, but it seems I forwent all of what made me myself (creativity, interests, opinions) as I became an adult.
I think part of being an adult is coming to terms with the person you are and discovering who that person will be. How do I handle loss, stress, burnout, and the passing of time?
