Growing up in Prague and moving to London at the age of 20, she started developing her own production skills. Maella's period of sonic reinvention, lead her to refine her dark alt-pop sound to much acclaim. Her EP "Slow Burn" had been played on BBC Introducing London, with Jess Iszatt ‘falling in love’ with her ‘stunning’ sound, and provided her with a BBC introducing Featured Artist slot. Maella was October’s ambassador for Spotify Equals CZ&SK, receiving placement at Times Square. She started 2023 being shortlisted for Czechia's National Selection for Eurovision 2023!
