Growing up in L.A. I was steeped in the myth and romance of Hollywood. From my first âTeen-Age Fairâ at the Hollywood Palladium to the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Who and so many others, music was my life. My pictures and film from those days were motivated purely by a desire to preserve and revisit great concert moments with friends.
In summer â77 I was recharged by the energy and mayhem of London's punk scene. Back in L.A. I formed âThe Hollywood Squaresâ and our single "Hillside Strangler" became something of a cult classic. Despite lots of buzz we never landed what was then the only path to fame: signing with a major label. But the Squaresâ legacy and contribution to punk lives on. âHillside Stranglerâ was recently featured in the documentary âKiller Soundtrackâ.
Gigs from Nome to Brisbane inspired "Extended Play", a musical impression of some of my journeys over the years.
I hope you enjoy the relics of long ago and check out my other work ...
Cheers!
