What an incredible weekend! The temperatures weren't the only thing HOT at this event. The Grand Design New England Rally in Massachusetts knocked it out of the park in their fundraising for Irondog K9 International through various activities. Kyle, Stephanie and Adi Burnett represented the organization while Officer Alison Pollini and K9 Phoenix of West Windsor Police Department from New Jersey shared how support has made a difference for them. Crime is ever-changing in our communities. For law enforcement K9 teams to effectively manage that crime to protect us, they must also change with the times. Unfortunately, in many cases, financial budgets are extremely limited, especially in the K9 departments. As a result, handlers and their K9s often lack advanced training and exposure to potential threats, until actually facing them, lack the proper equipment needed to best perform their duties, and, even worse, lack the funding for premier veterinarian care in the event of sustained injuries, resulting in untimely K9 lives lost.
