Not much to report on this time honestly, it's just coming together very well day by day. Here's a gif of Phyllis clapping back.

I thought it would be a good idea to go back to monthly updates until this video is finished.

To not mince words and just get to the part that people want to hear, I don't have a strong estimate on when the video will be finished currently. If I'm being realistic, most likely before 2020 is over, but please don't hold me to that because there are many things I'm attempting to learn to be able to put this together and anything could slow me down dramatically. (i.e that gif is embarrassingly my fifth attempt since I'm pretty crummy at sprite art, and learning to use music programs to put together some arrangements, and as always way too many new character sprites to draw.) The positive is that the video ended up being much longer than you're probably expecting.

Thanks as always for being willing to wait for these; it's important to me that these come out looking as good as possible.

I wanted to quickly thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of flattering comments and useful feedback. Like I said on the last video, I apologize if I don't respond to you directly but trust that I read everything that's posted!
I also wanted to address some frequently asked questions in the comments:

Q: "That, 'No that's wrong' Villager sprite is giving me nightmares, please kill it! "

A: To give full context for that, when I was looking up those sprites from the three games to draw Villager, I couldn't stop laughing at how intense their faces were. I thought people would find it funny if I made this hyper realistic anime looking version to kindof play off that, but was way *WAAAYYY* off mark haha. If it's taking that much attention away from the rest of video, it absolutely has to go. I'll be more self-aware and tasteful going into the future :P

Q: "You should make this into fan-game!"

A: I absolutely love the thought of this being something people could actually play. However, this is an insanely risky and time consuming gamble i'm not willing to take for many reasons:

1. Nintendo is notorious for shutting down any fan-made projects if they consider it to damage their brands. I could spend like 2 years making chapter 1, try to release it, and then they cease and desist the project into oblivion. Look up projects like ( Pokémon Uranium, AM2R, Zelda Maker, Starfox the Animated Series, etc.)

2. I know absolutely nothing about programming a game. The visual novel part would be easy enough to figure out, but the programming that goes into traversing the over-world, the investigation, the trial and it's various mini-games would be a severe learning curve that would take an insanely long time to get it looking close to how it does in game.

3. I'm not afraid to admit that a full product would be probably be riddled with logical errors and plot holes despite my best efforts.
I apologize again if i'm coming across as unwilling to even try, I don't want to make you guys wait on something years from now that might not even be allowed to exist. At the very least i'll do some research and educate myself further on the subject.

Q: "Are you going to make this into a series? "

A: As long as interest doesn't dramatically die out and people still find this interesting, I'll do my best to actually make this an ongoing series.
The Body Discovery Announcement video was supposed to be a one-off because the New Horizon trailer talking about Nook's morning announcements reminded me a lot of Monokuma doing announcements in Danganronpa. While I was making it, it dawned on me how much story-telling potential there could be for an Animal Crossing/Danganronpa game. Not only do you retain the aspect of ultimate's abilities or which of these strangers is trustworthy, but now you also have to factor in things like animal species to further obscure the answer.

Q: "What is the next video going to be?"

A: I've decided to make a brief Rebuttal Showdown video to make it clear who the Blackened is then follow up with their execution video. My hope is that the added context will make the wait for an execution more satisfying if you know who to hate.

Q: "What programs are you using to make these? "

A: I use GIMP to draw the character sprites and UI
Blender 2.8 to make the map and put the drawn sprites in it
and Sony Vegas Pro to edit the rendered video from Blender
Gimp and Blender are free to download, Sony Vegas Pro is interchangeable with any video editing software you're comfortable with.

Q: "You never shared their Ultimate talents. What are they?"

A:
⦁ Villager (Male) - Ultimate ???
⦁ Flick - Ultimate Entomologist
⦁ Raymond - Ultimate Businessman
⦁ Resetti - Ultimate Reset Officer
⦁ Copper - Ultimate Policeman
⦁ C.J. - Ultimate Ichthyologist
⦁ Tortimer - Ultimate Leader
⦁ Brewster - Ultimate Barista
⦁ Rover - Ultimate Traveler
⦁ Isabelle - Ultimate Secretary
⦁ Daisy Mae - Ultimate Cultivator
⦁ Phyllis - Ultimate Postal Worker
⦁ Sable - Ultimate Seamstress
⦁ Gracie - Ultimate Fashionista
⦁ Reese - Ultimate Renovator
⦁ Katrina - Ultimate Clairvoyant

I believe that's everything; thank you for reading this far! If you believe i'm off mark or missing the point on any of these responses, please leave your thoughts in the comments.

Second Update:
It's been another month, so I thought you'd appreciate another progress update:

[Finished] - Remaking the entire Non-Stop Debate UI
[Finished] - Writing the script and animating the moving dialogue in the NSD
[Finished] - Drawing 16 villager character sprites and 14 alt sprites for statements
[In Progress] - Creating a courtroom in Blender with the drawn sprites

In simple terms, all of the artwork and video editing is completely done and I've saved designing the courtroom in Blender for last (since it's a really steep learning curve). From there it's just simply recording camera movements and putting it behind what I've already finished.

I think you'll really like how everything will look when it's finished. If you're a fan of previous Animal Crossing titles, I hope you'll enjoy seeing some familiar faces that haven't shown up in New Horizons yet. Again, thank you for being patient if you're still waiting on this; I want it to look as good as I can make it.

It's been a little over a month since starting work on another Animal Crossing/Danganronpa video, and I wanted to update anyone waiting on it:

[Finished] - Remaking the entire Non-Stop Debate UI
[Finished] - Writing and animating the moving dialogue in the NSD
[4/16 Drawn] - Drawing 16 villager character sprites and 14 alt sprites for statements
[Not started] - Creating a courtroom in Blender with the drawn sprites

The Non-Stop Debate UI looks extremely close to how it looks in Danganronpa v3. The villager art is coming out nice in my opinion, but i'll let you be the judge of that. I'm averaging about one character a day when i'm able to draw. My estimate on when it'll be finished is late May or early June. Thanks again for being patient; I wish animation had a faster turnaround.

Note: The background from the image is just a placeholder I put together for this, it'll look much closer to what an actual Danganronpa game looks like once I put them in Blender.

In the middle of making a Deltarune animation. If I have any active subscribers anymore after like 2016, words can't describe how much appreciation I have for your patience! These videos take very long to paint and animate and i'm completely self-taught when it comes to animating videos. For this particular video, I have everyone drawn out and animated besides Undyne who I started working on today.
