Today we discuss limb care, best care practices, infection issues etc. I will illustrate my care rituals live, using my residual limb / stump to share how I have had a 5 year run with only two infections over that time.

Join our next 1 hour AMPUTEE LIVE STREAM this coming weekend, on SUNDAY 19 MARCH, for Ep3 of our Q&A and discussion topics. Time TBC, but likely at 6PM Standard South Africa time.
This week we talk about residual limb issues - I get my leg and liner off, and do a residual limb show and tell!! Issues such as my morning and evening stump cleaning routine, skin care, products I use, and do's and don'ts of good LIMB / STUMP CARE and maintenance.
I will also cover questions asked in the last live stream, which we never got to due to time limitations.

Hi all Amped Life Live viewers today, just want to say a HUGE thank you for your support earlier today during the live streaming event. You were truly awesome, for which I am so grateful - it helped to take the edge off the nerves as things got underway.
To those who commented, but I missed and did not respond to, my apologies, I'll put a system in place soon to avoid this from happening in future, the best I can. I have been made aware of a comment about those who lose a limb due to DIABETES, feeling misunderstood and often times judged - I'm so disappointed I missed it, as it was such a valid and sensitive point. I will raise this topic in the future, for us all to provide support where most needed. Please comment on this again in future live streams, we should talk about this and how it affects amputees.

On this channel I create content on AMPUTEE LIFE. We look at our AMPUTEE STRUGGLES and SOLUTIONS, AMPUTEE GROWTH, and AMPUTEE ACTIVITIES.
Dedicated to sharing my personal AMPUTEE experiences, and how I moved from a life of LIMITED MOBILITY, unhappiness, to vastly improved amputee QUALITY of LIFE - however, not without occasional setbacks and struggles.
I share some insights & changes as to how I viewed and engaged life, how this all of this changed drastically - driven by support, personal experiences, and now working as a therapist.
