in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Would anyone be interested in being able to purchase kits of capacitors or other components used in the various videos I've done?
I've got a huge amount of leftover stuff like this, along with some custom 3d printed parts, and have thought about setting up a store on the website to sell this stuff as kits to make it easier for you and clear out some space.
If you could buy a pack of all the capacitors you need to repair your cruise control amp, or other electronic components, and you'd know you've got all the correct stuff in one bag, would that make things easier or just make me feel better about having 500 capacitors I purchased in bulk
Vote below, and leave a comment if you've got any specific things you'd like to see on there if this becomes a reality.
Also, I will always be putting the same links and such in videos, I won't ever use paywalls or anything of the kind for supplies or documentation, I believe information should be free, and people should be enabled to be as self sufficient as possible, so this would just be an alternative option so you might see something like this in a video description:
If you'd like to purchase the components used in this video go to: yadda yadda store and purchase the kit that corresponds to your style of cruise amp.
Or purchase them in bulk from these amazon links:
bla bla bla links.
I'd like to hear your thoughts.

A little side project I've been working on this year, Every filter I change I have been cutting apart and doing an incredibly quick inspection of,
I don't want to clog up everyones feed with masses of these videos, so I've put them all in an unlisted playlist (youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFxBeYBP-WdlXM5NU9HnEqZ…, as well as on the website (trythistv.com/filters)
Maybe I'm just a nerd but I like knowing whats in the filters I use.

Well, they found me. Guess that new project I've got is going to have to be publicized soon...
Anyway, totally unrelated, Are any of my viewers in Canada?
I have an Amazon.ca gift card I need to get rid of! Not a tremendous amount of money, but still could buy somebody something nice!

Update on the Vacuum diagrams on the website! New SVG (In case anyone wants to modify the diagrams for a slightly different equipped model) as well as updated PNG files for printing or viewing! Check them out over at trythistv.com/w123vacuum/
I'll eventually get around to making some videos and documents on the more complex parts of the vacuum system like the transmission, which is very dependent on the proper amount of vacuum.

Started working on a video about brake wear sensors, and replacing brake pads on my w123, when I stumbled upon this... Needless to say, now there will likely be either 2 or 3 videos about refurbishing the entire braking system. New calipers, pads, hoses and rotors, they're 40 years old so it's probably past due anyway, and that old fluid isn't doing me any favors I'm sure, so we're gonna flush it out. Stay tuned, fun things coming Mercedes related, as well as jetskis and other stuff happening that's fun too!

To all my W123 friends: If you're looking for an upgrade for your cars handling, a member on peachparts is arranging a limited run of heavier duty rear swaybars, they reduce body roll quite dramatically.
There was an option on certain models of our W123s that was a 15mm thick rear swaybar for police and other heavy duty applications, this swaybar you'd be ordering is 15.85mm, so even slightly thicker than the "heavy duty" one.
I'll be making a video of installation and thoughts, but in the meantime, this is a super limited production run, go check out his site, and put in a preorder if you'd like your w123 to handle better, stick to the road and not feel so yacht like in the corners, you should still have the same wonderful ride quality but with greatly improved handling.
Here is a link to preorder, and as I mentioned, this is a super limited production run, if you don't preorder by the 30th they won't get made!

I had planned some super cool stuff to celebrate hitting 2000 subscribers but my work and general chaos involving shipping and such has put a bit of a delay on getting that all together, as well as delaying progress on the next video.
Our friends that work for various delivery services are working like madmen, please be kind to them and respect whatever rules each company has as far as dealing with covid, some delays are inevitable, it's not the end of the world if something takes a few extra days to arrive.
So, Once a few more items get delivered I will be getting a few exciting videos out, in the meantime I figured I should update on this big big project you can see in the photo that is helping already in so many ways with my business and will also help out with videos as time progresses.
Sometime soon I'll have to edit together the footage of the process that went into getting the shop built (even though it's still not 100% done being built) and take you on a little tour once I finish up some of the chaotic jobs that pay the bills but also clog the shop full of stuff.
Stay safe everyone! And stay tuned for some really neat upcoming stuff including some really special stuff involving celebrating hitting 2000 subscribers.
Thank you all so much for watching my videos, it's insane to see the channel grow and all the amazing ideas and discussions in the comments, I've got some incredibly talented and intelligent viewers for sure!

After I finish the 3 part series I'm working on (First part should be done this Friday!) I might begin doing a few videos about my "TowTruck" seen in the picture.
I do still have a LOT in store for the blue car, you'll be seeing as more and more "creature features", and for that matter even the essential functions get videos about proper tuning, maintenance and possibly even some common weak points you can look out for.
The grey car in the picture is another 1982 300D, identical to the Blue car you've already seen, but in far far worse shape, and has a 4 speed manual, 2.88 rear diff, k26 turbo, tow hitch, 2 tank WVO system and probably a lot more goodies I've forgotton.
I've driven it thousands and thousands of miles after all the mods, with the only issue being when I built the WVO system I was in a huge hurry and kinda just tossed it together and after about 10k something went wonky and it sucks air when switched to WVO.
So the car only runs on the main diesel tank currently, but runs very good and is incredibly happy to be driven and moved around.
I began disassembling the WVO system to tidy it all up and get it running, and then got busy with work, and it has sat for quite some time with very very little done to it other than moving it around the yard now and then to mow underneath.
Would anyone want to see videos about what I had to do for some of those modifications (I can do slideshows with voiceover and get some video footage of the results, I can't really redo the modifications now), or videos about fixing the WVO system, trying to get it cleaned back up and ready to drive regularly, or other stuff?
I have also been tempted to make some videos of my actual trucks I tow with, one being a 97 Dodge ram 2500 12v cummins, and the other being a 2001 dodge ram 1500 12v cummins, or possibly some of the other vehicles and projects.
I'm also planning a few fun little video projects here and there mostly unrelated to the normal stuff on the channel!
