About
Onyx Eyes is a German symphonic/progressive metal band, founded in 2005.
In 2008 the first album "Delights and Tears" was released. The songs were written by Sören Eyes (the guitarist and main founder of the band), Ines Deinert (vocals) and Dennis Hartzsch (keys, vocals). They have performed numerous gigs in Europe. For the second album, line up has partly changed. The drummer Jörg Meyer and keyboardist Dennis Hartzsch have left and the drummer Josef Poldrack has joined. In 2014 the second album "Dö" was released, but due to Sören Eyes' health issues performing was not possible.
Since 2021 Sören is back, working on the third album, with the new members, which are:
Sören Eyes - guitarist, composer and producer
Marijana Mladenov - vocalist, composer and lyricist
Rouven Paul Haliti - fretless bass (session member)
Mehdi Heidari - drums
The new album will be a rebirth of Onyx Eyes and will surely bring a new subgenre to the Symphonic metal.
