Working with heavy weights like Pitbull, Kelly Rowland and Flo Rida seems a long way from the school talent shows that first turned rapper, Jamie Drastik, on to performing. But for the talented New York based artist, it's all been a natural progression.
Drastik's obsession with hip hop first began at the tender age of eight, when he was penning rhymes to perform in front of his elementary school peers as a hopeful contestant in talent shows. After his first taste of performing, his passion for music led to an independent album released whilst still in high school, with regional shows following soon after. Drastik eventually made the move to New York City, paying rent and making ends meet with money he received from winning weekly hip hop showcases.
