Okay, so we're finally doing a dungeon gridmap. I've done at least half a dozen videos that have touched on how to fill, structure, sketch, and otherwise delve into dungeons.

But this is the first gridmap I've made for encounters within dungeons.

Honestly, it feels a little small to me: even with the grid being 1cm:5ft, it's not got the grand scale that I like to use. Nevertheless, I think it's definitely usable size for a session.

Labyrinths, megadungeons — it's just a sewer system, really. But I've been thinking a lot about generative dungeons and reusable locations, and this seemed like a great opportunity to explore some ideas.

What do you think about changing dungeons like this: returnable dives into the underworld, where something new turns up every time you go down.

In my experience, megadungeons are fixed in terms of their contents and layout. I'm looking for more chaos.

It's been nine months of this channel, and I've never done a gridmap, if you can believe it. Until now, that is.

I don't know if anyone's going to want to go to the same lengths as me to paint one out, but I thoroughly enjoyed the process.

And, hey, it's a new topic to add to the library.

So this week, I made up another anthology video - which maps that I think are most useful and relevant when building your world. And I'm fairly confident in them, not just as someone who makes maps, but also as a Dungeon Master.

But I'm keen to hear your thoughts. What do you think are the significant maps, of the ones that I've done so far? Which would help you most in fleshing out your world?

We've come to the end of this series, in which I've been going through and creating an explorable setting for D&D (or any TTRPG, really) in a series of maps. But I've been privileged to work with a couple of other amazing creators for these videos.

The main tutorial videos have been accompanied by the Lore Archive stories, to show how these maps can be used to flesh out or drive a campaign.

So, a huge shoutout to these creators!

STAT BLOCKS

My friend at Conflux Creatures has been creating custom stat blocks for the NPCs of the Lore Archive, which are all amazing!

You can find them here: homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/fhl5VXZ8btTF

ILLUSTRATIONS

The incredible Arkyleon has been contributing his artwork to the Lore Archive videos and covers, and the work he has put into making these enemies and NPCs come to life has made this a dream project.

Thank you to both of these creators, and please make your appreciation known for them too!

And that's a wrap on this season! I loved making these maps and handouts for Endon — and can I just say what a pleasure it's been to work with my collaborators?

Here's to Arkyleon for his illustrations, S. Falzon for her music, and my friend Isaac over at Conflux Creatures for the stat blocks.

It's made my year.

I really enjoyed making this map, even though it's not super useful. It made me want to draw up some spell scrolls as handouts.

But I loved making the illustrations. What do you reckon? Worth doing it again, maybe tweaking it?
