Did you know that prenatal (antenatal) vitamins are not for pregnant women only? Prenatal vitamins provide many of the necessary nutrients that are absent in our diet. From women trying to conceive to those who have already given birth, these vitamins can help you meet your needs.
Even if you are not a “maternity” candidate, you can take them, too. The only exclusions I can think of are being male and prepubescent/puberty. Always talk to your health provider for recommendations based on your health status.

Did you know that your oral health can affect your growing baby? Research shows that poor oral health can lead to low birth weight and premature birth. It can also increase the chances of negative heart conditions.
Pregnant women should brush their teeth twice a day. It is also important to floss between teeth. Take it a step further by gargling with alcohol-free mouth wash.
When possible, it is beneficial to see a dentist during pregnancy. These, along with a healthy diet and adequate water intake, help to support a healthy mouth.

Parents with young children, one of the best things you can do to limit stressful situations is to create a schedule. Having young children is already a radical in itself; it is so beneficial to put your little one(s) on schedule. Routines are a blessing and that needs no disguise!

As a registered nurse, Nurse Onyi's professional practice has focused on the maternity population. A lot of new parents and parents to be struggle with information clarity. Nurse Onyi is here to change that! From conception to postpartum and newborn care (and beyond), she will provide both verbally and visually helpful hints in an understandable way to ease the transition.
A bit about Nurse Onyi: She leads a Christ-centered life and will have it no other way! In fact, her nursing peers awarded her the nursing superlative of "most likely to pray over her patients". She is a wife and mother of 4. She possesses years of formal and informal education-- MSN/MBA, BSN, AA-HCA, RN.
The views portrayed on this channel belong to Nurse Onyi! PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF YOUR PERSONAL PROVIDER, AS CASES DIFFER FROM PERSON TO PERSON!! 😊
