We design soft, woven clothing for breathable comfort, easy care, & general awesomeness!
Color of Heat is designed by Kat Whatley, a 2017 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, (FIT) in NYC. Kat is passionate about art and design and draws her inspiration from over 15 years of living and studying in several countries throughout the Middle and Far East, as well as France.
Color of Heat was a happy accident; born in 2013 when the family traveled to Northern Thailand, the same day Kat was first notified of her acceptance to FIT to study fashion design. What started as an adventure with her two parents, eager to learn more about Thai textiles and the clothing manufacturing industry in Thailand, turned into the beginning of many years of work with talented Thai artisans and seamstresses.
