Big Tree Tech was kind enough to send me their new Eddy probe which is a high speed eddy current surface scanning probe for 3D printers. This thing seems to be the answer to my complaints about Voron tap (see my videos about the Troodon.) I'm super excited to get this installed but it currently requires BTT's own fork of Klipper to work. It is being worked into official Klipper so I think I'll wait for that to happen rather then switching to an unofficial fork. Stay tuned for the video.

This glass-fiber ABS might be my new favorite filament! Prints so nice. I ordered a couple more colors so expect to see that in some future videos.

In the process of building my new telescope, I discovered some issues with my Voron V0 3D printer. The process of fixing that quickly balooned into a complete rebuild and upgrade to the latest V0.2r2 model. I'm also installing the Fysetc CNC aluminum parts instead of 3D printed parts for extra rigidity and durability. I'm planning an over view video of the upgrade process and experience with the metal parts. Will it be worth it? We'll find out!

Hi everyone. I built a new telescope! This time a 12.5 inch, f/5 dobsonian. Of course, it's mostly 3D printed with carbon fiber parts. It works great but I've yet to get it under some dark skies for a proper shakedown. I won't have a build video for this project, but I do plan to make a video going over the design and functionality. I will also release the project flies open source style like my other projects.

Hi everyone. I'm happy to share that I am again working on a new and interesting carbon fiber project! I'm designing an building a custom car roof rack for my friend to transport his hang glider on his new Tesla Model Y. Of course, since it's a Dave project we are incorporating 3D printing and developing a new(ish), somewhat novel way to make the parts. Hope to have a video for you soon!

Hey Guys. I recently started flying Gliders in Microsoft Flight Simulator which is super awesome with the latest update. The thermal soaring feels quite-pretty-mostly realistic and quite fun! I'm live streaming flights so give me a follow over on Twitch if you're interested in that kind of thing. www.twitch.tv/designbydave

There is also multiplayer so check out the twitch feed and join me in the sim for some fun glider flying! gamertag is designbydave
