Time to rip the band aid off.
I scrapped an entire Elephant Lord series a while back. it would have been about Rexy and his pals stopping the JP3 Spinosaurus from creating an extra dimensional collider which would bring the Red Alpha Trex from Primal into their dimension. The series would have ended with Rexy entering the collider to shut it off preventing the alpha rex from entering their universe and the series that followed would involve Rexy in a different universe.
I decided to cancel this because making this would have been basically âopening up Pandoraâs boxâ for my channel as then there would be this convoluted mess of a half baked multiverse for the sake of making the story more âcomplexâ but would just hurt my storyline in the long run. Also ending on a cliffhanger would make the series feel like a big sequel baiting story and not a true narrative with a begging middle and conclusion. Also I had seen how many big film franchises introduce a multiverse and thatâs when they start to decline(Ex, MCU, Hana Barbara) Also at the time I was considering this cancelled series, I was very busy with real life stuff and just wasnât motivated to make more videos.
In regards to the future of the story of Rexy and the gang. There will be more videos, but a big scale adventure on the level of Rexy vs Godzilla, JW meets Ice Age and Great Dino Purge at this time are not happening. After Rexy and his Pals did face a very big threat in The Great Dino Purge that being Emperor Palpatine and the death of one of their friends(Patchi), I feel like they need to take a break from all the epic adventures and I am shifting to fleshing out my characters making them feel more 3. Dimensional rather than action figures.
In short this scrapped series would have been the moment my channel âjumped the sharkâ and I am glad with the decision I have made. But donât worry as Rexy and the gang still have more stories to tell.
