What do you do for fun or when you are bored?
I took the RC truck out and raced it around the yard. I am going to set up some jumps and cones to race around.
Taz and Tuffer like to chase the truck and gets them some exercise.
They didn't have these battery RC vehicles when I was a kid or I would have been all over them. They had those Cox fueled planes and cars but way too expensive for my folks.
Anyway, that is one of the things I enjoy doing!

Went to the eye doctor today and good news and I am at 20/50 and doc says he can get it to 20/20 with glasses. Just need the glasses for driving and distance.
I had a surgery complication and the eye was pretty badly traumatized. Took awhile to recover but it is getting there.
Thank you to everyone that was concerned and looks like it will be alright!

What are your dogs names?
Tuffer and Tazaroo. Tuffer is a rescue and thinks she is tuffer than any other dog. Tazaroo is Australian cattle dog that looks like a Tasmanian devil and jumps around like a roo!

Dog drama at the cabin!
Taz my older dog and Tuffer have had a rivalry for my attention and fighting over food, toys and best seat in the car from the time I rescued Tuffer and brought her home.
Now Taz has her nose out of joint and has decided to sleep in the shower and resist any attempt to get her to follow commands.
I tried the usual bribery, getting mad, threatening punishment and lavishing love on her but she is still being a stubborn shit.
So I am doing what I did with my young kids when they acted all snotty and I put her dog bed in the shower and I am ignoring her.
Dog drama!

How is everyone doing? Looks like we have some storms across the country and may get some snow here. I was enjoying the warmer weather but I knew that wouldn't last. Still going to the gym 3 days a week and I joined a line dancing class and had a good time. Dancing is a lot more of a workout than people realize.
I had a complication with my eye surgery and is taking longer to recover but it is getting better over time. May need another surgery down the road.
Took the dogs out for a few hikes and playing lots of ball in the yard. They are doing well and getting fat and lazy.
The wildlife is slowly returning here and I have seen more birds and critters moving about as spring is arriving.
Just focusing on doing what I like and no big projects planned until spring and warm weather.

First hike of 2025!
Took the dogs out for a hike in the dunes. This is a regular thing I do when the weather is good and we did about a mile through the dunes and cedars.
Saw a jackrabbit and Tuffer tried to catch it and a lot of deer track.
Both dogs are trained for off leash hiking and never stray out of whistling distance and will circle back to check on me in case I change directions.
Looking forward to lots of hiking adventures this year!

Our local gym is starting a line dancing class!
I did line and ball room dancing in college and taught line dancing for fitness in treatment centers.
So I will go check it out and dancing is good exercise and a way to meet new people and have some fun.
