A surprise XL showed up on my doorstep yesterday, let's build it!

After almost 9 months of beta testing, Prusa is sending me a production printer to replace my Beta unit. Very soon, they'll be sending me a 5 toolhead kit as well and we can start playing with some multi-material prints!

Threw together a quick prototype hotend last week. It has almost 200% meltzone length and is 40% lighter compared to a stock mosquito or dragon. Only 36 grams, ~50mm meltzone and it can still use a CHT 😁.

I took the inspiration from my old hotend design, which surprisingly, had no issues transfering heat across the nut/block junction. Video coming soon for the new hotend as well as the history of my hotend development up to this point!

Shout to to Simon (‪@Vez3D‬ ) for sharing his awesome new hotend! You inspired me to share some more of my work as well!
