Have you ever seen a grown woman cry? Y’all! I got my first ever gold record!!! Italy is a culture of passion. People proudly show feelings. Yesterday on a rooftop in Milan, I was nearly overcome with my own feelings when I was presented my first gold record for Mercy. It was a total surprise from my team here but nothing about this happening in Italy was surprising. My connection to this country, the heart, the art, the passion: it was immediate and bone deep. Italia, I am so so so in love with you. Thank you for always welcoming me home and for hearing this music in a way that no one else has. I am forever yours. And you are forever mine.
