WORSHIPPER, DON'T LET OFF KEY DISTRACT YOU FOCUS ON JESUS!!!

I read some ones post instructing worship leaders not to get distracted when the music sounds off key.

Mmmm right?

I don't know what you reading this post may think and say about it, but I think this person may have been suggesting that those who get distracted when this happens are not spiritual persons. But then,

Let's flashback to something I heard and took note of, as I listened to Apostle Joshua Selman sing while teaching Day 2 (morning session) at the #koinonia revival UK conference held in Manchester.

While Apostle taught that morning, it got to a point where he told his pianists to raise the key higher as he sang Yeshua by Hillsong I guess...

If you followed and can remember clearly, that In an attempt for the pianist to take the key higher, Apostle the singer and the pianist were off key.

Then we hear Apostle being a musically sensitive person, stopping to ask his pianists to find the key so they can both sound in unison.

This reminded me of the post I read instructing worship leaders not to mind the key and stay focus and also made me ask if Apostle's act on stage made him a less spiritual person or did it stop the manifestation of God's power through him?.

Of course, you know the answer is obviously NO.

So In order not to write long grammar and digress, here's my point;

I think as up coming singers/musicians we should stop being self spiritual by thinking God is not interested in how we excellently minister to people through our music especially singing on key.

This is because I see the bible not encouraging that we be divided and mediocre in ministering music to God. See the following scriptures;

👇👇👇

'' The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang:He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, (2 chronicles 5:13)''

Also, Psalms 33:3 encourage us to play/sing skillfully when serving our gifts to him and his people.

From the first scripture, you could agree with me that these guys didn't play or sing off key even though I wasn't there . But believe me when I say it was excellent so long it was for God.
I also believe their singing on key plus their yielded ness spiritually brought the Glory of God.

So,

Can we stop using self spirituality as an excuse for not refining our gift for excellence?.

One character of God I know is Orderliness not confusion and this why I think he gave wisdom to the inventors of music to organize different worlds in music called keys. So we can be orderly and excellent in serving our gifts as music ministers and Psalmists

Lastly we must remember that music must be pleasant and appealing to the ears of listeners whether spiritual or not spiritual and for that reason we must work to obey the rules of music and serve it excellently

Thank you!
