About
This charismatic artist is pianist, actress, composer and film maker.
A Berliner newspaper described her as âmore than a fashionable crossoverâ as she surprised the conservative classical audience of the Philharmonie already in the 90s with her innovative recitals playing Argentinian tangos, Piazzollaâs works and own compositions in a time when this repertoire was unusual. Her aim was always to give access to a new musical experience out of the established traditions of the classical world.
Her recordings offer an interesting selection of Argentinian composers, film music, pop and her own compositions full of improvisational freedom.
She studied Film in Los Angeles and has already succeeded as an actress in international feature films and in German TV and working with directors like Polanski, Wenders or Tykwer. As a film maker she produced and directed documentaries and music videos. She has performed in the USA, Europe, South American and Asia. She is a Steinway Artist.
