NEW VIDEO!!!
Hello everyone, I've uploaded my Breton video. I hope you enjoy it. Many months of research and editing have gone into it. It is available
here in English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLflJ...

What’s up cool kids,
I finished my video on Breton. In fact, I finished it twice because I made a version in French. I’m going to upload it @entarbouché, a second channel I made where I’ll also be putting other things that I think most people are less interested in (like more poetry).
Speaking of poetry, I’m leaning a Breton poem but it’s like so hard. This language is nutto mode. I’ll try to get it as good as I can.
I’ll probably get the main Breton video out within this month, time for me to write the bibliography and learn this poem.
Thanks!

Hello subscribers, the next video is being edited. I ran into a couple of difficulties near the beginning but I’ve simplified the project ever so slightly. The topic is still the Breton language, it will likely be slightly longer than the video on Welsh.
With this videos I try to tell you not only about the language but also a little bit about sociolinguistics as well. In the Welsh video we touched on bilingualism and what it means to actually speak a language.
In the Breton video, I’ll be touching on some of the reasons behind language revitalization and why we shouldn’t dismiss it outright even when it sometimes looks a bit strange or even downright ridiculous.
Per usual, I don’t really have a schedule and I work on the videos whenever I have some time, though, I don’t foresee this taking longer or much longer than a month.
I’d also like to find a nice Breton poem (like from the collection in Ar en deulin) to deliver for you all and learn the pronunciation a bit better (I feel like I dropped the ball a bit with the welsh one 😅)
I hope you’re all having a lovely spring and that you’re looking forward to the summer!

Hello Subscribers,
I’m almost done writing the script for the Breton video and I envisage it being around the same length as the Welsh video. I want the Breton video to be bilingual though and I don’t yet have access to the feature that allows me to do that so I guess I’ll have to wait an indeterminate amount of time. I’ll probably start researching another topic and see if I can get early access to multi-language audio tracks.
Also I just posted a short. I find a lot of neat little things when I’m researching that don’t really make sense to put into a video so the shorts are a nice outlet for those.
Thanks!

Hello Subscribers,
Thank you for watching my last video. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’m really happy with the reception it got. Thank you also to those that donated—it’s crazy to think some people liked my free to watch video enough to show appreciation monetarily. Right now the video on Welsh is my most successful for the amount of time it has been up!
Based on feedback in the comments, the next Celtic language I do will be Breton. I’ve started some preliminary research already. At the same time I’m working on a similar video for Maori though, I’m unfamiliar with that part of the world and I’m learning many new concepts.
In addition to those, I have an older project on MSAL I’ll have to revive at some point and some other videos not concentrated on specific languages but rather broader linguistic concepts (usually on the sociolinguistics side).
Not sure which of these videos will come up first.
On top of these I’m also planning to come out with some non-video media in the coming year. This is something that I’ve been working towards for a few years now and I’m excited to show it to people outside my circle.
Thank you again for watching and happy new years!

NEW VIDEO!!!
Hello Subscribers, this week there is a new poem. You can think of it as a teaser for next week's video which will be a deep dive into the history and future of Welsh. It's my longest video yet and I'm actually quite proud of it so I hope you enjoy this poem and next week's video!

I’ve finished recording and editing the audio for the next video and oh boy is it a doozy. The final product is likely to be over 30 minutes.
