We race a LOT in Ohio during the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series #woosprint season!
That gives us at DGR plenty of time to look for organizations that are truly making a difference, specifically in the community they serve. We don't look for the biggest, the best funded, or the most well-known to partner with and help:
This week, we found the Gettysburg Gateway Shelter For Men, part of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Dayton, Ohio.
Each year, nearly 4,000 people come to them looking for shelter, and as many as 500 people on any given day. It's a daunting task for the volunteers to try and meet the basic needs of that many individuals.
On Monday, David Gravel Racing shipped them over $1,800 in natural & organic men's shaving & personal grooming supplies.
If you would like to learn more about what they do, or would like to volunteer / help in some way, check out their website or FB page www.stvincetdayton.org
Hopefully we'll see you guys at Attica Raceway Park or Eldora Speedway later this month 🏁

Huset's Speedway experienced flooding this past weekend like it had never seen before.
The pictures only tell a small part of the story.
Many race fans who came to see the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series #woosprint lost vehicles and personal belongings.
But they weren't the only ones.
Many residents in the community here experienced the same fate - and in some cases, much worse.
David Gravel Racing stepped in this week to help.
We shipped approximately $1,000 in basic personal care items to
The Salvation Army of Sioux Falls where they will distribute them to those affected by the devastating flooding.
It's going to be a long road back to normal for many of these families.
But every little bit helps.

We can't just look the other way.
It's seems everywhere we travel with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series , a quick Google search gives you a long list of domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters, etc.
The fact that we even need them in the first place is hard to stomach.
But, we do - and every one of them has a laundry list of items they need in order to do the valuable work that they do.
The Family Shelter of Southern Oklahoma is no different.
Their mission is to provide safety, relief, and support for people who suffer from physical & emotional abuse as a result of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Last month, we sent them about $1,000 in personal care items for the guests of the shelter, including hair & skin care products.
Go and check out their Facebook page, and see the great work they are doing in their community - and if you like, feel free to help them in any way you choose. www.familyshelterofsouthernok.net

Tonight, David Gravel Racing attended the Living Like Outlaws Shindig at The Broken Drum restaurant & bar, right next to the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota - site of tomorrow night's World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race. #woosprint
The event was to raise funds for The Driver Benevolent Fund, which helps support injured drivers, and included a raffle of several gift packages.
We at DGR donated over $500 worth of skin care kits for the raffle, and they were a big hit!
A big "Thank you" to Wes Irwin for organizing and MC'ing the event. We're humbled to be a small part of it.
