I am not a “Professional Angler” more a “Weekend Warrior”. My love for Walleye started at a young age. I think I was 5, when my Father who rarely got excited, stood up and said, “don’t lose that pickerel”. The passion for these fish has never left me since that day.
However, my love for these fish goes much deeper than simply fishing for them. I have been raising Walleye since the early 90s. One thing I have learned is the importance of #CatchandRelease. Those larger female Walleye are the backbone of every Walleye fishery and the Release of these #EggWagons is critical for their survival.
This is where #WalleyeWednesday came from and it’s message is clear. However, these videos have become more than just about #CatchandRelease, they have evolved into short stories about a lot of things Angling.
