in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Since the first video, April 22nd 2024 until today you have introduced me to some great music. I have e-met a couple of you, we've all covered multiple topics prompted by the some of the songs, learned new things, smiled and laughed very frequently and also enjoyed various serious discussions in comments.
I may have started the channel, but you made it what it is - a haven from everyday life. Thank you all for your support and kindness! Some of you have actually become my friends by now.
I've noticed more and more that your curiosity matches mine and some of you have discovered new music alongside me - you trusted me enough to give someone new a try - that is a huge compliment indeed!
Some of the artists very intentionally chose to release the copyright for reactors. Others allowed the videos to at least be visible in most countries or better yet, all countries - a huge thank you to all of them! As you probably noticed I keep ensuring their channels and links to original songs are always included at the top of the description of my reactions. Without them, this community would not exist.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for representing humanity in its best light!
With love, Aleks β€β€β€

The Cure with Songs of a Lost World and more live in concert on Nov 1, 2024:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aWDl...
This has nothing to do with reactions, but it is to this day in my opinion one of the greatest bands in the history of music and they just proved it again! For all those who want to go back in time and relive their youth, but also hear amazing new material or have never even heard The Cure, I had to share my true love with everyone.

Alan had a list of songs ready for me to react to during our conversation, but even that has changed during the conversation, and you'll see why. These were all my first time reactions and all were very much live. I was all for it at first, but got maybe a bit reluctant once we got to the 4th song. You'll see. π
Finally, I'll be there during the premiere for the live chat and look forward to meeting some of you guys in real time. β€

Wrapped in a Warm Blanket podcast premiere with live chat on Nov. 10th @ 9:30 pm CET (Central European Time)
You know how I mentioned hosts of Wrapped in a Warm Blanket podcast
( wrappedinawarmblanket.com/ ), Mr. Alan Papier and Mr. Pontus Γsterlin in my previous post about a month ago?
Well, the episode of their podcast we did together will be published as a premiere with live chat on Nov. 10th @ 9:30 pm CET. π
Be sure to check out their YouTube channel at this time: youtube.com/@wrappedinawarmblanket and I will be sharing the link to the exact episode on the day, too. π
As a quick reminder, the podcast is dedicated to Angelina Jordan's artistry and how it affects people. Together we conversed about our thoughts on Angelina's music, its impact on us and generally talked about everything that simply came to mind related to AJ.

You'll notice that a painting by Mr. Michael Asher is also featured ad hoc, depicting his vision of the song Shield along with explanation of the symbolism therein, as it is one of the songs we covered together.
Hope you'll join us and enjoy!

Thanks to Mr. Ken Chawkin (@KenChawkin), obviously an Angel who commented on one of my reactions to AJ, I was introduced to the wonderful hosts of Wrapped in a Warm Blanket podcast (wrappedinawarmblanket.com/), Mr. Alan Papier and Mr. Pontus Γsterlin. Their podcast is dedicated to Angelina Jordan's artistry and how it affects people.
Together we covered Angelina's impact on each of us and of course, as they are both Angels, they prepared a list of songs that I reacted to during our conversation, as a bit of a surprise. Since I enjoy doing that, of course, that was an instant yes on my part.
The songs we covered are Summertime, Jolene, Natural Woman and one of Angelina's own compositions, Shield.
Now, as I don't know how to shut up when paired up with fun, open people with similar interests and they have their own schedule, this podcast is expected to be published in a month or two with a few cuts and smaller edits.
However, though it's a long way away, I wanted to thank Ken, Alan and Pontes publicly and to give all AJ fans a heads-up that they were also kind enough to make this a true collaboration. In short, all who are interested will be provided with a way to watch it through all our platforms. β€β€β€

Thank you all for your patience! These past few days we had guests staying with us and I was late in replying to many comments. I believe I'm all caught up now, but if I missed any, please forgive me. The interface is not the best to help me keep up.
Finally, if you notice yours has been missed, please add it as a totally new comment. It's harder to miss that way.

Some of you asked about ways to send a tip. After reading up on what the options are, Super Thanks seems to be the easiest way as it's already part of YouTube's features.
It is important to emphasize a couple of details surrounding this feature on this channel:
1. Sending Super Thanks is a voluntary action. It is only turned on for those who wish to show appreciation by tipping.
2. Sending Super Thanks does not mean that a reaction request will be fulfilled sooner or even at all. It is not there in lieu of a paid reaction request. In fact, paid reaction requests are not an option on my channel. At least not for the foreseeable future. I do not wish to make a promise that I may not be able to fulfill.
Now, YouTube advises creators to show appreciation of our own for the tips. As a decently brought up person of course I appreciate being rewarded for my efforts, be it in the form a very simple "Thank you" comment or in the form of a tip through Super Thanks. Both are truly valued. As I have so far, I will endeavor to reply to all comments as long as I can possibly keep up.
P.S. This may sound like a business announcement, but I do want to ensure clarity so no one gets disappointed in the long run. That aside, as always, thank you all so much for making this channel what it has become in a relatively short time - a very pleasant place to meet and chat about some beautiful music. β€β€β€

I'm planning a treat! Before reacting to Lara Fabian's version I wanted to check out the original.
The singer is Mercedes Sosa and the song Alfonsina y el mar. Now, this particular video is not very popular. In fact it only has 96,000 views over the course of 3 years it's been on YouTube. Having now reacted to it, I think this needs amending - this woman was spectacular!
Be on the lookout for the video is to be published tomorrow, on Wednesday, Sept. 4th! To all of you who have not heard it, but are open to hearing something new, this is a must watch. I hope you will enjoy it!

Apologies to all Lara Fabian fans, I'm working on another reaction as Lara Fabian & Michael Bolton - The Prayer, the one I had prepared for tomorrow, has been BLOCKED GLOBALLY. Hopefully, I'll be able to replace it with a different Lara reaction.
Any suggestions how to get this one out there?
I have submitted a fair use dispute, but from what I understand it might get unblocked, but it also may stay blocked forever...

It's only been a month since 1,000 subscribers and your unwavering support has helped the growing reach of my reactions. You'll notice a pattern in the comments and a light motif in my thank you notes.
Even though the number of subscribers has DOUBLED, and one would think that with more exposure the Internet would bring in some bad with the good, I am still incredibly lucky to have the BEST, the NICEST, the MOST THOUGHTFUL and KIND subscribers.
This time there too many to thank, some from France, Greece, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, Brazil, UK, Russia, Indonesia and more, that I fear I might miss someone, hence I'm not naming you on purpose. You know who you are and I am VERY THANKFUL to all of YOU!
As before I do need to thank all the ARTISTS who made the songs I'm reacting to. Without them and without you, I'd have nothing to do here and I'm really bad at sewing or embroidery. π

Reactions to music videos I hope you'll enjoy.
Welcome to AleksReacts, a channel created mainly due to my lifelong love for music and lyrical expression. This is a relatively new channel and I am proud to say has a wonderful community of people connected by their love for music. Comment section is very thoughtful, welcoming and respectful. Please honor that.
Reaction videos are are not edited or cut (apart from an added text you might see here and there). π
As Super Thanks on this channel have recently been turned on, it is important to emphasize:
1. Sending Super Thanks is a voluntary action.
2. Sending Super Thanks is not there in lieu of a paid reaction request. Paid reaction requests are not an option on my channel for the time being, as I do not wish to make a promise that will not be fulfilled.
