Part 2 of our review of The Pagan Threat is now live.
Just like the first half, these final chapters hit with the same weight — the same rhetoric, the same hostility, and the same misunderstandings about pagan communities.
We break it all down so others don’t have to sit through it.

Gydia Skogul and Gothi Bodvarr take on The Pagan Threat by Lucas Miles — so other pagans don’t have to.
In this first part, we dig into chapters 1–5 and talk openly about how this book twists and weaponizes the word pagan against modern Heathens, Asatruar, and spiritual free thinkers.
We’re not just reviewing a book — we’re standing up for living paganism, Heathen honor, and the right to walk our path without being painted as villains.
Listen now and join the discussion on what it really means to be a Norse Pagan in today’s world.

Happy 3rd Anniversary to Northwoods Kindred Channel!
Well, here we are. Not only is it the last day of 2024, but it also marks three years since Northwoods Kindred made its online debut. While our kindred itself predates this milestone by about a year and a half, it was on this day three years ago that we took the plunge and made our first post, setting out on this incredible journey.
We want to take a moment to acknowledge the ups and downs of this path. Skogul and I have been part of this community for quite some time, but stepping into the online sphere came with its own unique challenges. Navigating the strange and demanding world of social media has been both a learning experience and a test of patience and understanding.
To everyone we've encountered along the way—thank you for being part of this journey. And to anyone we may have offended as we worked to reign in our emotions or stumbled through unfamiliar territory, we offer our sincerest apologies. We are always striving to grow, learn, and do better.
As we reflect on the past three years, we look forward with hope and determination. Here’s to continued growth, meaningful connections, and the shared journey ahead.
Skål to the Northwoods Kindred and to all of you who have been with us through it all! Let’s keep learning and building together.
Hail and Happy New Year!
Þor vigi, Skogul, Bodvar and the entire Northwoods Kindred.

This channel is dedicated to the Kindred and solitary heathen that wants to practice our modern religion without the crazy overdramatic circus side show vibe. Just honest, semi-historic Norse Heathen practices that speak to our folk soul and honor our ancestors and our folk in a pure and supportive way.
If you are the Chieftain of a large established Kindred or have never witnessed a Blot or Sumble in real life, you will find some useful information here. The barrier for entry into Asatru is high and those that know, guard the information like a hoard of gold. We are here to show everyone OUR WAY, as we have walked this path almost 30 years together, and raised five children Asatru.
