it's a darker song about we wrote and it'sย quite wordy so we had our friendย Lorenzo ย help animate the lyrics to help with the tongueย twisters. We put the song and lyrics to footage we shot in NZ last month on iPhone, mini DV and mini DVD (yes that's real look it up) and the made it kind of like a physco Apple iPod commercialย unintentionally but also a littleย nod to spy movies opening sequences including the MR BOND chord at the beginning of the song.ย

๐ for those who haven't been notified, we're chuffed to inform that we finished our fourth studio album 'PRESENT TENSE' and it's coming out on Polyvinyl and PIAS Australia on March 18th year of the tiger 2022!!! ๐
๐ It was recorded and produced by us inbetween LA, NY, London, Italy, and Wellington, mixed by Ash Workman (Christine & The Queens, Metronomy), Kenny Gilmore (Weyes Blood, Julia Holter), Jake Aron (Solange, Grizzly Bear), and mastered by Antoine Chabert (Daft Punk, Charlotte Gainsbourg), so, like, some pretty high quality audio was captured and curated. don't want to be blowing any trumpets but we're talking Album of the Decade territory here. the record comes packaged in a mega-lush design constructed by the masterful Ishaq Fahim, has three colourways (ivory rose, ultra clear, lemon eggshell), and is accompanied by a sultry new line of merch which we're sure you and yours will adore ๐
๐ฌ we just released the third single off the record, 'In The Eyes Of Our Love', which is up on all the streaming and downloading platforms right now. the summary is that I'm certain it's the fastest song we've ever written and it contains some very intimate classical guitar in the first bridge. In conjunction, we had the honour of working with the cinematic genius Alex Ross Perry on a video for the track (the first of a trilogy no less), which is also out today! ๐บ FINALLY - you might have seen that we announced some tour dates in March/April/May 2022. today we can confirm the supports that will be joining us on the American leg will be NOSO, BEAUTY QUEEN, MINI TREES, JORDANN, AND NOBLE OAK so holy crap that's going to be pretty incredible ๐คธ
