Join me in taking a moment to remember my first homebred, Vela, born in March 2006 and named after a constellation of stars visible on a cool, crisp March night.Ā
She left us far too soon, passing at the tender age of 11 on October 13, 2017.
Vela was the older sister of Neeka, Jolanda, and Sjoukjeāthe sweetest, most gentle mare, daughter of Femma and the iconic Jasper 366.
She made so many 'Friesian Dreams' come true during her life but I wish she were here today to experience the outpouring of love from all our supporters, both near and far.
Her gentle spirit will always be with us.

Wendy has sent us another batch of hugs, we have some more Renske, Hannes, Maaike hugs. With a couple being a new shape as Tracey called them they are Chunky hugs! They are now live on the website

Inne (Skinny Innie) had her first session with Rachel Hamer - she combines McTimony chiropractic and equine craniosacral into her sessions. She sent me this to show how her eyes are a little more even after her first session. This will hopefully help her comfort levels. Weāll look into her possible ulcers next before arranging a follow up session with Rachel.
Having been recommended Ron Fields as a route to go down for ulcers with Ice I am keen to use the non-invasive DNA kit they offer which you can read about here - ronfieldsnutrition.co.uk/.../dna-test-kit-for.../
This may be a better option for Inne in particular given her anxious nature to not have to endure the scope.
