Ziggy and Ruby find a powerful source of superpowers that turns out to be a living and intelligent asteroid. Ziggy immediately gives it the nickname Speedy, and the animals rush off in pursuit. On Earth, Speedy encounters Roy the dog and Sol the cat, unexpectedly giving them superpowers. But Ruby and Ziggy don't have time to meet the new superheroes and explain to them what just happened, as they are attacked by a mysterious enemy.
