#My2021 I would like to summarize what I have done in 2021 with Speak Thai Possible.
🟣 Completed 4 additional trainings: To strengthen my teaching skills I completed 4 trainings throughout the year.
Training topics are
1) Teaching Thai particles
2) Teaching Thai tense and tense words
3) Techniques how to teach vocabulary effectively.
4) How to use translation in teaching Thai.
The trainings started at 3 or 4 am. at my local time but I was so eager to learn. I learned lots of new things. Also, the trainings helped boost my teaching confidence as it assured me that knowledge I have been passing onto my students is right.
🟣 Continued with Private Thai Lessons : I met great new students in 2021 but believe it or not, I still have 3 students who have been taking lessons with me since early 2020. Our first sessions we talked about Covid situation in their countries, 2 years passed by we still talk about Covid 😱😱. But I really enjoy seeing how everyone makes progress. Thank you everyone for your trust. I wish I would get to see you all in person one day.
🟣 Started Group Classes: Early 2021 I opened my group classes “Write and Read Thai Zero - Hero“ At the end of every last session there were reading test. Students selected their own Thai text to read out. All students can read their text and know tones of words they read out. So proud of them. Still remember. One of them chose to read the first passage of Harry Potter Chapter 1! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
🟣 Launched my first audio lessons “Listen First, Speak Second” : I discovered one of the most effective ways to learn foreign languages when I tried so hard to understand English native speakers and to speak English. I would like to help Thai learners to learn Thai in a natural way with this technique and help them succeed in learning Thai. Audio Lessons Volume 1 for an intermediate level was launched in September. There will be audio lessons for beginners launching in 2022.
I am happy and proud of my progress with Speak Thai Possible. How could I be sad when I get a chance to do what I truely love?

I have tips for ones who would like to improve their pronunciation.
1. If you are a total beginner, please please please learn every new word with its tone!
2. If you speak some Thai but mostly with wrong tones, start with fixing tones of most frequent words. For example, ฉัน ผม เขา ที่ ว่า แล้ว ก็ แต่ เพราะว่า มั้ย ใช่ ไม่ใช่ ก็เลย (chán, phǒm, kháw, thîi, wâa, lɛ́ɛw, kɔ̂ɔ, tɛ̀ɛ, phrɔ́ˑwâa , máy, chây, mâyˑchây, kɔ̂ɔ ləəy)
Starting with 10 words a week. Every time you say these words. Think first! Because you are trying to fix your wrong pronunciation. Then you practice another 10 most common words.
At some point, you collect enough words that your pronunciation is on point. And these common & frequent words make your Thai pronunciation impressive without knowing how to say every single word correctly as they appear in the conversation frequently.
Even when you can pronounce just 50 frequent words correctly, this is sufficient to wow your Thai friends. Plus, it’s a good starting point to sound like “Khon Thai”
