In my dc/marvel au I'm using Cassandra Cain's older backstory from new earth. With whole being raised to be Ra's bodyguard etc. I'm not fan of her new origin.

I first learned about Scylla from Greek Mythology trought Epic miusical.
Book I bought later had describction of her backstory. And dang, I feel horrible for her. She might have it even worse then Medusa (if you pick to choose version where she was cursed by Athena) and Lamia
