Save Wallum is a community group in the Byron Shire of NSW that formed in mid 2023 to stop the Zombie DA at 15 Torakina Road, Brunswick Heads, NSW. We are calling for urgent federal intervention to assess the Matters of National Environmental Significance on the site under the Environmental Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act (1999), after the NSW Planning Department issued a certificate 34A - which allows developers to sign off on environmental impacts as if they have been assessed correctly in the past - which of course they have not!
