This comment from one of my subscribers pretty much sums up why I teach handicrafts:

I teach and share my ideas and designs for people to enjoy, make them as gifts for friends, family, teachers, doctors, people that have helped them etc.. This is so much more than making paper things, its showing thanks and appreciation in the form of intricate handcrafted art.

Q- how do you make the pieces?
A- look up the vid 3d origami for beginners (in the youtube searchbar)
Q-what size is the rectangle piece to fold a triangle?
A-approx. 3.5 x 5cm. its cut from A4 paper (21x 29.7cm) divided into 32 rectangles, 8 across, 4 down, as shown in "3D origami for beginners"
Q-Do I have to use A4 size paper?
A-no, you can use any rectangle paper
Q-Can I use other paper? Does construction paper work?
A-yes. it did for me. It didnt for some people, so test it out with a few pieces to see if it works, before making loads of pieces.
You can use any paper as long as it has grip/ stays together
Q-Does it matter if some pieces arent the same size?
A- nope, they can be slightly different sizes as you cant get it exactly accurate, ofcourse, you would try to keep them the as equal as possible
Q-How do you make your pieces stay together so strongly?
A- It easily stays together by itself. Even if you're using printer paper or cardstock, some are still slippery.
