My film work could be easily categorized as science fiction or fantasy. These genres provide a vehicle to examine our relationships and conflicts with technology. A recurring theme is that of people separated by technologies meant to improve their lives, and their yearning to recapture an authentic human connection.
As a former visual effects artist, technology is also a large part of my production toolset allowing me to bring imagery and ideas to the screen not easily captured with a camera and within a reasonable budget. But like the themes of my films, this tool is used only in support of a human and emotional connection and never stand between the art and the audience.
