"Saanu ki" formule da nateeja 😊

Sharing some life lessons learned over the past decade:

1. 𝘍𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢 𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢 𝘵𝘦, 𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢 𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢 𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘪 𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘥𝘪.
2. In a world where everyone is trying to be like someone else, it takes great amount of courage uss raaste pe chalne ke liye jahan aur koi na dikhe.
3. Aging is a natural phenomenon. Don't try to cover it artificially. Aim for graceful aging which is about being healthy internally, physically and mentally.
4. Success kya hai? Whatever feeling gives you a sense of achievement and you are consistently passionate about is where the success lies. So don’t compare yourself with others’ success, find your passion, and follow it.
5. We can’t change the perspective of others but we can work on ourselves so the message is conveyed without saying.
6. Simplicity is the new luxury.
7. How can I contribute to society? What can I do to be useful in the world? By contemplating these questions, and taking actions, aap dekhoge ki jo paisa aapko chahiye, vo khud aapko follow karega.

When the monsoon rain and breeze compels your taste buds to sip on #chai :D

I am not a tea person. The weather and environment around us can influence our food choices, and it’s perfectly fine to indulge once in a while when your body signals you to.

Sharing vacation tips that I relied upon during recent trip to Kerala. You can apply these too : )

1. If you can't avoid outside food then take care of what healthy options are available and the portion size. Now a days you can check healthy menu on internet before you check in to your hotel and pre-plan your meals.

2. Pack your bag with healthy snacks - Fruit like Apples, Nuts like almonds, walnuts, makhaney, channe, sprouts, peanuts, seeds - pumpkin, sunflower, chia, watermelon, sesame etc.

3. Have any fruit, nuts, or salad before you leave for the outing and when you're back drink 'ajwain' water, green tea, or plain lemon water just to ease digestion. Do not forget to carry your water bottle and drink plenty of water in between.

4. At restaurants, squeeze a lemon in water instead of soda. Prefer green salad and ask for dressing on the side. Enjoy tandoori roti, sabji or rice and curd instead of paneer or dal. In Chinese, have hakka noodles or in South Indian try rawa dosa or uttapam. Non- vegetarians can enjoy roasted, tandoori, or grilled chicken or fish.

5. In Buffets- Pick any three items you love to enjoy rather than tasting each and every item.

6. Have veg sandwich instead of burgers. Stay away from chips and cookies - these are the worst. Have a dessert, but share.

7. Always enjoy the local food items of the place. If you are in Thailand- enjoy thai, if you are in China, enjoy Chinese rather than choosing your Indian food items all the time. Local and seasonal items are more nutritious.

8. Take out 15- 20 mins in the morning or in the evening for any exercise routine during vacations. This will help you to boost energy.

9. Enjoy your cocktail with water not with sodas (30- 60 ml).

10. Vacations are the best time to enjoy the company of your loved ones, so do not miss the chance to enjoy each and every moment with no stress.

Have small frequent meals. Do not starve in between, otherwise, you will end up with a heavy meal.

Early morning: Green tea/ lemon water/ normal water + 5 almonds

After 30 mins - Fruit (available in hotel room easily)

Breakfast: Protein rich, use local seasonal available items e.g. as mentioned if in Kerala, have south indian, Thailand eat thai. (Never skip your breakfast).

Mid meals (mid morning and evening): Green tea/ fruit/ nuts/ roasted channe/ sprouts/ peanuts

Lunch and dinner: Finish salad first, then order your local meal with less salt.

Plan ahead and enjoy your travel

5 ways to shoot Monday blues, fatigue / tiredness / lethargy:

1. Eat 1 anjeer (fig), 2 dates and 3-4 soaked black raisins first thing in morning. Iron content helps with a good supply of oxygen to your cells.

2. Chew clove or small elaichi (cardamom) or jaggery with saunf (fennel seeds) to prevent lethargic feeling post-meal. It maintains blood sugar levels.

3. Don't start your day with caffeine. Yea, sure it does give you that kickstart, but only temporarily, and at the end of the day slows down your BMR and switches on your desire to sip on caffeine again.

4. Stay hydrated - simplest way. No fixed amount of glasses in a day. There is no one number. Check the color of your urine to determine dehydration.

5. Take a break from gadgets and do deep breathing. Spend time with family, not with phones at night. Gives a signal to your body to activate brain functioning, and switch off the dullness that occurs due to blue light.

Breathing before bedtime gives calmness and boosts energy the next day.
