When lightning strikes, literally, damage can happen. Our internet provider has replaced our equipment and service is back up and running. AXIS Camera parts have been replaced and the camera is working again. Unfortunately we had to 'start over' with a new stream. Sorry for any inconvenience! The time and weather display will be be put back on, please be patient, the camera and internet equipment was not the only damage caused to our home, so we will get to that as soon as we can.

The answer to the poll "what bird has the most songs recorded for a species of bird?"

Red-eyed vireo! According to the Guinness World Records, the red-eyed vireo has been recorded singing 22,197 songs in a single 10 hour period. This is the most songs recorded per unit time for any species of bird, and averages at over two thousand songs per hour!

We want to thank everyone for all of the likes, shares, comments and donations. We are grateful for all of your support!

We never imagined that our channel would reach so many people and have such an impact. We receive so many wonderful comments, messages and emails that brings us so much joy and touches our hearts. We love reading every one of them. Thank you so much for sharing! 💗

Each and every donation we receive is greatly appreciated! Your support allows us to continue providing the birds and wildlife with quality seed/feed, as well as continue streaming our channel to the world. Thank you!

Over the past year Mr. Gettysburg faced some health challenges that included receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Throughout these times he never wavered from his dedication to the birds and wildlife. Being out in nature lifted his spirits and helped him heal. We have so much to be grateful for and we look forward to sharing our live cam for many more years to come.

We wish everyone a very healthy and happy 2024!

Sincerely,

Mr. & Mrs. Gettysburg Live Cam
