❤ THANK YOU ALL! ❤

Dear friends and listeners, you’ve made our souls overflow with happiness and gratitude by attending what was the most important show for us in 2024! ✨ We are beyond glad we got to share this time and our music with you, the music we create with so much love and dedication. In its live version, the ORPHIC album would not have sounded that incredible if it weren’t for the amazing guest musicians who supported us on stage. It was the very first time we played with so many people and the results were more than incredible. 😁

We also thank Khanъ for their opening act that set the stage on fire! 🔥🖤

We are beyond grateful to our hosts at Mixtape 5 Club for their hospitality and all the organizational help they provided us with!

We thank each and every one of you who bought a CD and/or a piece of merchandise. You are supporting two musicians who spare no strength, no mental effort and no finances in the name of high quality, two musicians who love you and work for you tirelessly and with full dedication.

Expect details on our next gig soon. Until we meet again, Ksanians! ❤

❤ THANK YOU, DEAREST AUDIENCE! ❤

The reception you gave us at… was more than warm and welcoming. So much so that it is now one of our most favorite shows in our 8 years of live musical experience! ❤

We thank you all for the applause, for chanting “KsANa!” over and over, for dancing and singing with us, and for the couple encores you won over for yourselves. We were more than happy to oblige and deliver! ❤

We thank you for the great welcoming of our guest musician Ivo Danailov (violin, cello) whose talent, positivity of spirit, and inspiration align so well, in such harmony with who we are, with what KsANa actually is.

We thank our friends and colleagues from Notte Medievale for the opportunity to share a stage with them. The trust they put in us makes us feel honored and humbled.

Last, but certainly not least, we thank our hosts and friends from Mos Maiorum Ulpiae Serdicae who have been supporting us since 2018. We could not think of a better end to the “Serdica is My Rome” Festival of Antiquity than what we shared with you that evening! ❤

We expect to see all of you again on October 18th at Mixtape 5, Sofia, when we will be presenting our album ORPHIC. You will have the opportunity to not only listen to Ivo Danailov live again but also some of the names who contributed their magic to what ORPHIC is today. And do not forget even for a second that you shall be welcomed in this space by the one and only Khanъ who will rock your world! 🔥

Why all of those people, you may ask? Because we are relentless when it comes to the quality of our music. And because we only want to provide the best sound for you, our listeners. Now, we are more than ecstatic to finally be able to gift you all of it, all at once.

We’ll see you there! ❤

❤“ORPHIC” AND TWO GIGS IN ONE DAY! ❤

Dear friends, we want to thank you for your lovely feedback on our debut album! We are beyond happy that our music manages to transfer you to different planes of existence and into deeper states of mind. We are reminding everyone that the CD may be ordered via our email address ksanapaganmusic@gmail.com or via direct messaging to our personal profiles.

As per now-developed and beloved tradition, we are closing the festival season with a bang. We are inviting you to join us in attendance at the “Serdica is My Rome” festival in Sofia, but there’s a bonus this year: after the event is over, we will be moving to the nearby Live & Loud club where the musical festivities will go on. There, we’ll share a stage with Notte Medievale – a musical project consisting of Denitza Seraphim (Irfan, The Pilgrim’s Road), Zdravko Peev (Khanъ, Eriney), and Nikola Petrov (Khanъ, Erinay, Mayak).

It’s unnecessary to mention how joyful we are to be together with such names, such people whose rich musical experience on both Bulgarian and foreign stages makes them veterans in what they do.

Come join us on both gigs on September 21st. It‘s going to be amazing! 😊

❤❤❤ ORPHIC IS FINALLY HERE! ❤❤❤

Dear friends and listeners, our debut album is now a fact of reality! 😊 The definitive first chapter of our musical journey is finally finished. We’ve gathered in it our most famous songs that are beloved by many, and they are all filled with love for you.

ORHPIC is the epitome of us standing completely still before the power and magnificence of Mother Nature, before the precious heritage of Bulgarian folklore, and before the allure and worthiness of cultures beyond our own.
No compromises were made when we chose the guest musicians for this album. They are some of the best names in the Bulgarian musical scene currently, and we cannot help but be in awe of their talents, our eyes and hearing being captivated by them. Here are their names:

Peter Todorov
Darina Zlatkova
Petar Milanov
Ivaylo Danailov
Alexandra Shkodrova

The beauty of the CD lyric booklet has been created by our amazing photographer Svetoslava Madarova, and the design is the result of the great work of Alexandrina Valenti. The continuing support of Alexander Nakov’s “Na Vilata” studio made this album possible.

It is very crucial to note that the lyrics in the booklet have been translated to both Bulgarian and English, thus allowing the multitude of nationalities who listen to us to feel included and to understand the lyrics’ messages. We have always strived for an audience bound by the sense of belonging, by the sense of community.

We are beyond proud of the result. We are beyond proud and content with our unique, authentic sound. We are beyond grateful to every single person who trusted us with their talent and help.

And we are just getting started. 😁❤

If you wish to get this pagan folk jewel, you may contact us at ksanapaganmusic@gmail.com or drop us a message via our respective personal profiles. The album is also available on all major streaming services.

We love you! ❤

Dear friends and listeners, I have no idea how to articulate what I want to say to you, as my mind has been a pile of walking chaos lately.

Only two songs remain until the digital release of our first album, all the while we’ve been preparing the CDs behind the scenes. Only two songs remained when I experienced gigantic loss, and, surely, gigantic grief for the first time in my life.

While we’ve been working through all the emotions that accompany such a major change in our lives, life itself goes on, and it doesn’t wait for anyone. We keep living, and we try to do all the things we do in our daily lives, but now there’s this bottomless ache within our ribs.

Death has always been a core theme in our music. This is why precisely now we discover greater meaning in the songs we wrote about it. And it will always be like this since we’ll never stop composing about Death in some way, as it’s been one of the main themes in human existence since the dawn of time.

I think grieving is a personal, private experience. It is to be shared between you and the one who’s departed; between you and the family. Only family can witness the weakness that comes from grieving, but the greatest power sprouts from that same weakness later on.

Since I’m sharing everything, here’s another thing: I can’t believe I’m saying this, but we’ve written so much music that we may start/continue with the second album right after the debut release. We’ve got a partial third album, as well as two EPs worth of material. Meanwhile we’ll see you on our next gig date – Festival of Antiquity and Medieval Times at Stara Zagora, May 18th and 19th.

Whatever happens, it can only bend us, but never break us. Life is still here, it still exists. Throughout the years we’ve realized that the mass audience does not like being placed face to face with its own mortality. This only inspires us to remind people more often of the fact that one day, we’re all going to die.

But until then, nothing can stop us from celebrating the fact that we’re still breathing.

Many hugs until our next meeting!

✨ “STOPANIN”: A CRYING VOICE, A BULGARIAN VOICE ✨

Our precious audience, the moment has come to finally present to you one of our most beloved songs: “Stopanin”. ❤

We’ve always known that, sooner or later, we’d write something that will preserve in time the memory of childhood homes and people that now reside in the past. It is a song inspired by the image of the Stopan (the spirit of a late ancestor who has returned to protect their home and kin), but only partially. It is a song about the depopulation of Bulgarian villages. It is a song of orphaned houses, hovering memories, and of reverence for family. It is a song of goodbye, but not truly, as the faces of those people live inside us forever.

It is a song dedicated to our grandmothers and grandfathers.

There is otherworldly magic that now exists in this song, a creation of our guest musician Alex Shkodrova, who infused it with her backing vocals and gadulka. We are beyond proud to invite you to listen to her haunting, samodiva-like singing which flows as a fog around the stone walls. It is accompanied by the crying sound of gadulka, a tamboura, as well as the steady, secure chords of the guitar, strong as the foundations of the homes that now stand tall only in our memories.

Most of you know or have known a Stopanin. Find your way back to them through this panoramic vocal experience. Enjoy! ❤

Not only have we met her, but we’ve been monstrously lucky to have her musical talent featured in our album! She transformed one of our most beloved songs, “Stopanin”. Many of you also know her. Her name is Alexandra Shkodrova. She Sings and Plays, in capital letters.
